Key updates include candidate announcements and notable independent campaigns. Steve Catania has been confirmed as Labor's candidate for Midland, succeeding the retiring Michelle Roberts. Kyran O’Donnell, a former Liberal member for Kalgoorlie, has declared his candidacy as an independent. Additionally, three "teal-aligned" independents are contesting seats traditionally held by the Liberals: Rachel Horncastle in Cottesloe, Lisa Thornton in Churchlands, and Rosemarie de Vries in Nedlands.
