The Poll Bludger has launched its comprehensive coverage of the upcoming Western Australian state election, set to take place in 66 days. 

This includes detailed pages for each lower house electorate, analysis of the post-redistribution margins and party vote shares, and an overview of the new Legislative Council voting system, which replaces six-member regions with a statewide system. The election preview is complemented by a bi-monthly donation drive for the platform.

Key updates include candidate announcements and notable independent campaigns. Steve Catania has been confirmed as Labor's candidate for Midland, succeeding the retiring Michelle Roberts. Kyran O’Donnell, a former Liberal member for Kalgoorlie, has declared his candidacy as an independent. Additionally, three "teal-aligned" independents are contesting seats traditionally held by the Liberals: Rachel Horncastle in Cottesloe, Lisa Thornton in Churchlands, and Rosemarie de Vries in Nedlands. Lisa Thornton, a Stirling councillor, is supported by the Churchlands Independent group. In South Perth, former Global Lithium director Hayley Lawrance is also running as an independent, though she rejects the teal label.
